No Gove!

Good grief. Gove for PM? Just say ‘No!’ If, like me, you are appalled by the suggestion that Gove may PM then vent your frustrations by allowing him to fall endlessly through time and space. Enjoy.

Reward Postcards

I created a set of reward postcards for my school which are sent home without the children knowing. I’ve adapted them a little so they are available for everyone to use. I’ve added a white box to each image for the children’s name or reason. Have fun! Reward Postcards hugsfromdad.pdf

Back to School

I was going to draw this in readiness for last school year but never got round to it. I made sure I found time this summer. There is still some gratification taken from his fall from grace yet without him I would never have been compelled to begin drawing educational cartoons. Dare I even think I may be grateful?……Nah. Probably not.

Stuck Posters

With the dawn of a new school year fast approaching, I’m hoping that a few of my fellow teachers may find these useful. If you would like to use them, I’d very much appreciate a mention! Thanks! DOWNLOAD Stuck Posters.pdf

Gove’s Gone!

Here’s my little collection to celebrate…   Of course, the appointment of Nicky Morgan means that we are not quite out of the woods yet but time will tell…. But for now, enjoy! I am sure the summer holidays will seem just a little bit more relaxed.

Right to offend

Ah, I love it when things like this happen. Mr. Gove’s recent statement that newspaper’s have the ‘right to offend’ has inspired me to start my own newspaper with that very purpose in mind. Wonderful. If you have any other suggestions for headlines I will very gladly add them. Visit Gove News!

We’re going on a beer hunt

I’ve loved Michael Rosen since I was little but it wasn’t until having children that I actually read ‘Bear Hunt’ for the first time. That was nearly 3 years ago and, for those of you who also have small children, you will empathise when I say I have now read it several hundred times. This is my little homage to that wonderful book about

Thomas and the Glasses

I have always wanted to be an author. I can remember being at first school at around age 7 and having a set of books that had been written and illustrated by children. I have no idea what they were called but I still have a very vivid picture of one of the characters. It was a pink monster that looked similar to a

Mr. Gove

If you haven’t read this story, Mr. Gove has ‘attacked’ a teacher for producing a lesson plan based on the Mr. Men books. I’m not going to pass judgement on the story itself other than to say how delighted I was to read it as it gave me the inspiration to write my own Mr. Men story featuring Mr. Gove. I wish I could
